Best Pest Control Software in 2026: Route Planning, Technician Apps and Recurring Service Billing Compared

A pest control company is a recurring-revenue business wearing a field-service costume. Most of your income is quarterly and annual plans, so the software has to book the next visit by itself, route a truck through a dense suburb without backtracking, let a technician log what was sprayed, and bill the card on file without anyone chasing it.

How this comparison was done: I did not install or trial any of these products. Everything below comes from the vendors' own pricing and pest-control pages, read on 4 November 2026. Where a vendor only says "request pricing," I say that instead of guessing a number.

The 30-Second Answer

  • Small crew (1–5 people) wanting a published price: Jobber or Housecall Pro. Both show prices and offer a free trial.
  • Pest-specific records and growing route book: PestPac (by WorkWave) is pitched at pest operators with growing teams. Pricing is by consultation.
  • Pest/lawn operators who want pricing tied to customers: FieldRoutes says its monthly fee is based on active customers. Quote required.
  • Multi-branch or enterprise: ServiceTitan's pest page is aimed at enterprise-level businesses. Per-technician pricing, quote required.

What a Pest Control Crew Actually Needs

1. Recurring plans that run themselves

Quarterly, bi-monthly and annual plans, automatic renewal reminders and a clean split between one-time jobs (a wasp nest, a rodent exclusion) and contract work. If every visit has to be scheduled by hand, you are paying for a calendar.

2. Route planning for dense suburbs

Ten stops in one subdivision beat ten stops across a county. Look for routes you can preview, grouped by zone, rather than just a map pin view.

3. A technician app that handles the paperwork

Check-in, checklists, before/after photos, a chemical usage log with applicator license details, and card payment before leaving the driveway.

4. Billing and accounting sync

Card on file, autopay after each visit, and an accounting link (QuickBooks is the common one).

Jobber

Jobber has a dedicated pest control page. It describes setting up monthly, quarterly or seasonal treatments once so visits are booked automatically, route optimization with a map view, and a mobile app on Android, iOS and tablet. For compliance it says you can record chemicals applied and applicator license numbers, then filter the application history by date, client or applicator. Technicians can invoice, take payment and email the completed checklist before leaving the property, and a card can be saved on file so Jobber bills automatically after each visit. Jobber also lists QuickBooks Online integration.

The pricing page shows four tiers: Core, Connect, Grow and Plus. The tiers differ by team size and by commitment (month to month, one year, or billed annually). Connect, the tier that lists automated client reminders, automatic payment collection, checklists and QuickBooks Online sync, is $139/month for one user and $199/month for five users with no commitment. Billed annually, the five-user Connect price shown is $149/month. Extra users are $29/month each. The pricing page does not spell out which tier unlocks route optimization or chemical tracking, so confirm that before you buy.

Best for: small and mid-size crews who want published pricing and a free trial.

Housecall Pro

Housecall Pro's pest control page talks about assigning one-time and recurring jobs, custom job checklists, uploading photos and notes, mapping dispatch routes, "on my way" texts, auto-charging cards on file and syncing expenses to QuickBooks. It does not mention a chemical or pesticide application log. If state records are your main worry, ask for a demo of exactly that.

On the pricing page, there are three plans. Basic is $59/month billed annually and includes one user. Essentials is $149/month billed annually ($189/month on monthly billing) with five users, and it is the plan that lists Routes ("group and sequence jobs to cut drive time"), checklist automations, photo reports and annotations, and QuickBooks Online sync. Max is shown at $299/month (or $329) with eight users and $35/month per additional user, but its button is "Book Demo." The page also lists "offline viewing" among plan features without clearly tying it to a tier, so treat offline use as something to confirm.

Best for: a small team that wants routes and QuickBooks sync on a published price.

PestPac (WorkWave)

PestPac is built for pest control specifically. Its site covers scheduling, route optimization, a technician mobile app, billing, payment processing, customer communications, chemical tracking and compliance documentation, with product application details stored against each job. Its pricing page shows three packages: Small Business (basic scheduling and routing, mobile app, billing and payments, basic accounting), Professional (smart scheduling and route optimization, IPM and multi-unit support, digital forms, logbook, marketing automation) and Enterprise (multi-branch, API, auditor reports). No prices are given: it says to speak with a consultant, and the FAQ says pricing depends on users and features.

Best for: established pest operators who want the most pest-specific record keeping and are happy to go through a sales conversation.

FieldRoutes

FieldRoutes' homepage leads with intelligent routing, a dynamic drag-and-drop scheduler, autopay, and a mobile app for getting contracts signed and taking payments. Its pricing page says the monthly subscription is based on the number of active customers rather than seats, lists QuickBooks-type accounting integrations, and has tiers that all say "Request Pricing." That model is different from the others: adding a technician does not obviously change the bill, but adding customers does. ServiceTitan's site lists FieldRoutes among its products. The fetched pages say little about chemical logging, so ask for that in a demo.

Best for: growing pest or lawn operators who like pricing that follows the customer count.

ServiceTitan

ServiceTitan's pest control page is explicitly for enterprise-level businesses. It describes agreements built from templates with renewal tracking, bulk price increases, routes built around stops per tech, skills and zones with a preview before committing, and chemical logging in the field app with compliance fields and audit-ready reports. Its pricing page says pricing is per technician and offers Starter, Essentials and The Works, each as "Request Pricing."

Best for: multi-branch operators who need roll-up reporting and can handle a longer sales and onboarding cycle.

Worked Example: A 4-Technician Crew

Assume four technicians plus one person in the office: five users.

  • Housecall Pro Essentials (five users included): $149 ÷ 4 technicians = $37.25 per technician per month billed annually, or $189 ÷ 4 = $47.25 on monthly billing.
  • Jobber Connect (five users included): $149 ÷ 4 = $37.25 billed annually, or $199 ÷ 4 = $49.75 with no commitment.

Yes, both land on the same annual figure. These are the published tier prices only; they leave out payment processing fees, setup and any higher tier you need for routes or chemical logs. For PestPac, FieldRoutes and ServiceTitan no honest per-technician number can be calculated, because none of them publishes one.

Which One Should You Use?

  • Under about five users and you want to see prices: Jobber or Housecall Pro. Pick Jobber if the chemical log matters most; check Housecall Pro's pest page for how it handles records first.
  • Compliance paperwork is the pain point: start with PestPac or ServiceTitan demos.
  • You think in customers, not seats: FieldRoutes.
  • Several branches: ServiceTitan or PestPac Enterprise.

Who This Is NOT For

  • A solo operator doing five calls a week. A simple scheduling app or a spreadsheet plus an invoicing tool covers you; full pest platforms are overkill.
  • Anyone who needs a free tier. None of these has one. Jobber and Housecall Pro offer trials only.
  • Buyers who must see per-seat pricing before talking to sales. PestPac, FieldRoutes and ServiceTitan are quote-only.
  • Anyone expecting a hands-on verdict. This is a published-capabilities comparison, not a field test.

Honest Verdict

If you run a small crew and want predictable cost, Jobber is the most complete published match for the pest spine: recurring visits, routing, a chemical and applicator log, card-on-file billing and QuickBooks Online. Housecall Pro is a close, cheaper-looking option but its pest page is thinner on chemical records. If your records and route book are large, the quote-only platforms probably earn the sales call. Whatever you choose, ask each vendor for the contract term, the tier that includes route optimization, and a demo of the chemical log with your state's required fields. Prices here were read on 4 November 2026 and can change.
